Hi Jenn....

I moved your first post to here to have its own thread. It will have better responses. The MS forum where you were, may not know how to respond to your question.

Back up to the index page for Chiari, here:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum71.html
and you will see it. I just sent you a visitor message about it.

New members have a slight delay when first posting for a short
time. This is to screen posts for spamming and other unpleasant reasons. Soon you will pass that stage, and your posts will
appear immediately.

so what do i do now?? when i reply i have to erase everything u wrote?? I have no clue what "thread" is or how to post stuff. just more stress!! i knew i shouldve paid more attention in computer class.lol

Replying to a thread, will bring up an empty box for you to type in.

The previous posts on the thread (one topic---like this one) remain. You cannot alter someone else's post. Only moderators can do that if absolutely necessary or requested.

A thread is one topic with a starter post often abbreviated OP...original poster. It can be a question like you wrote and I moved here: A thread "grows" and depends on how many people respond to it.

Click on this link and you will see your post that I moved here.

There are no responses to it yet. This is not a very busy venue, but the regulars will come on eventually in a day or so or more.

A post is one person's communication on the topic.

Just look around at the main index....
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/index.php

and when you feel comfortable about looking around at the various topics, etc there are more advanced things you can do.

But to be honest, I just use the basic skills myself. This type of software offers lots of bells and whistles, but you don't need them to just basically communicate.

To learn a software, it is best to experiment with it. Click Back to go back, or click on titles to see them, anything underlined, or in a highlighted color is clickable (there are exceptions I guess but I've never found them.).

When you are done typing in a reply box, scroll down and hit Submit reply. If you goof up, one of us will see it and help you.
But it won't be instantly, but since this is a slower forum, a little wait is not a handicap.

Hi Jenn

People will be on line to help you learn how to use this site. You will get the hang of it. It took me awhile, as I am not computer literate eithor. Take your time, and continue to try and post, you will get directions as you go along. Don't get frustrated, it really is OK. We all had to start somewhere.

I did not know what chiari malformation was so I looked it up. So sorry that you may have this condition. Are you seeing a neruologist? Let us know what steps you have taken and what the doctors: are telling you. I haven't met someone on this site yet besides you that has this condition. I will try to educate myself about it.

In the mean time, I want to welcome you to Neruo talk. There are so many good souls here, who have compassion and will try to help you through the ruff spots in your life. I run back here, for the kind loving support I get. Please be good to yourself, and come back here anytime you want. I hope there is peace in your life for the holidays. ginnie:smileypray::santa::Heart:
