All I can say is, follow your attorney's advice. It's why you hired him/her.

thank you i have been listening to my attorney but he seems to be not completely sure all he says it that we have a good chance and it will depend on my testimony i hope i have enough medical evidence. it seems you have to be dieing before you get help. i have a 9th grade education with a ged and a viet nam era vet you would think that would help

Stan,

Wishing you luck on your hearing. All you can do is to tell the truth. Hopefully your doctor keeps good notes and you said he backs you up so that is a good sign.

I was one of the lucky ones here in Michigan. I was approved on my first try.

Hopefully this will all be over soon. Take Care.

I too am an era vet. The vocational expert at my hearing was, or appeared to be, and acted like a retired military man. He helped my case along with his opinions. You know how they say one vet can spot another and we're, figuratively speaking anyway, joined at the hip. So hope for another vet at the hearing! Best of luck to you.

I was approved yesterday after 3 years

I was reading your post and wanted to try and give you some encouragement. I had to fight for 3 years I was turned down at application, reconsideration and then waited over a year and a half to get a hearing with judge. I had my hearing yesterday it was fully favorable and the judge awarded me back to original filing feb of 05. The Judge gave a bench decision and I didn't even have to testify my attorney met with the judge for about 5 minutes and then he came out and told me I had won fully favorable back to original date. I prayed and prayed everyday and night. My husband and I lost everything I had no hope. What I wanted to tell you is never give up you have to stay strong and make sure you have all your records. I will be praying for you and if I can help in anyway please feel free to send me an e-mail or PM anytime.
