My life as a lab rat

Well I am back from my angiogram in phoenix. It was the three year follow up.

So it looks like my aneurysms that ballooned last summer really haven't budged but the bypass they performed is occluded and so they want to run more tests to see the blood flow in my head and where the brain is dead.

Before it started as they moved the monitors into place I did tell them, "remember guys, no saying "holy crap" when looking at the monitors during the procedure.

Of course they had a tougher time inserting the catheter probe into my femoral artery due to some scar tissue from all the angios I have had to have. This was solved by the radiologist standing on my stomach and stomping the needle down saying "get in there."

The problem is, I know what happens to most lab rats. Well, I wondered if the angiogram turned out OK if there were more expensive tests they could order to tell me that part of my brain is dead, blood is not flowing completely through it, and maybe they should carve me up like a well cooked steak to see what else they can find.

Go and look up cranial/cerebral perfusion test and see what they want to do next. Just wave freaking magic wand. Cripes.

At least I can fence (unless that will hurt the rat) I am getting so tired of this.

Although looking at the results is kind of cool. Well, who am I to argue with the top vascular neurosurgeon in the world?

I just have to write this down and get it out of my system, they tell me it is good for me. Thanks for listening to the whine. I'm just a big whiner, I know there are people in worse situations, but on my planet it's all about me. And the sky is orange. (figure out the reference)

6 days till I can wall drill again. Hey, it's only a small hole in my femoral artery.
