Warm Weather Affect Symptoms??

Hi Everyone.

I live where it is very cold and it seems that when it's cold, I am miserable. I went to the Turk and Caicos Islands and my symptoms went away. Does anyone else have this? I'm wondering if moving to a warmer climate will help. What does everyone think?

Personally 85-90 F is ideal with a gentle breeze coming off the ocean and the water temp of about 80... that sounds like a partial cure going out daily to do a little snorkling, I do not think I am up to diving anymore... think the tanks would kill me!!! than again in a good shallow reef, nature abounds enough to make up for it. I love it when the old whites are running, may be cruel, but like to toss some fries in the water near my wife and they swarm around her... watching the clown fish and seargent fish with there brilliant colors just swimming lazily about and the occasional ray almost gliding along in the current and now and again allowing you to rub them, their flesh feels almost like soft velvet. Than afterwards going into the pool and swim up to a stool and partake in a frozen drink... now what was the question:cool:

DdayMBB,

Oh my, I hadto laugh.. No, really I'm serious. Being from PA I see that you're having bad weather now. Are you better when it's hot out???

Jamaica?

Definately. I went to S. FL for a few days and it was enough to give me 3 days of 4 on the pain scale. I NEVER get below a 5 and a good, average day for me is a 6.

see this thread I started a few weeks ago:

I'm still charting the weather twice a day to see how it affects my pain.

Oh Yes

Well, I live in Florida so warm weather is 90% of the time here. I went to Maryland at Christmas time........oooooohurt.

Even living here in Florida, if I get the slightest chill, I start hurting. I don't know how I could handle any cold weather with TOS.

My heart goes out to you people dealing with all that freezing weather right now.

See! I thought so!!! I'm in Minnesota and it's miserable out. Hopefully our high will get to 20 degrees today. I just don't know if I can do this every winter. There are such extremes here. Very cold and then very hot - fluctuating pressure and such.

I would love to move to the Caribbean, but not with my medical issues. I wouldn't think they would have good medical care. Plus, who's got money for that???

Does anyone have a heating sleeve or something that they use for heat? I'm told that I probably also have RSD also along with damage to my radial nerve and a long compression in a vein in my arm. So, I'm absolutely miserable. If I had a sleeve that I could wear to keep my arm warm, I think it would help. I currently use a corn bag and just rest my arm on it.

Definitely

This week it is in the high 70's - 80. I feel better :)
When it gets into mid 80's I feel even better.

Next week will fall into the mid 60's and the pain will worsen.
It all hurts but in different ways.
My pain never disappears completely though.

If I lived in Mn. I'd have to stay indoors all the time. When cold hits my
body, muscles tense up and make it just that much worse.
Warmth relaxes my muscles, thus, less spasm, less pain.
Hope that helps.....Hope

ok guys...i'm opposite

I just got back from Michigan and I LOVED it.
It took down the swelling and throbbing 80% until I started using my hand and arm.
Here in California when it gets up to the 70 and beyond I swell and throb like no ending.
I'm on ice and cannot to much but drive around on ice and have the aircondiytioning blowing on me.

Strange...
Gotta ask the docs why I swell, pain and throbbing sets in more so when others like the heat

Michigan house for me in the winter
Alaska house in the summer.
