What is the best time of day to take Cymbalta?

The time of day to take Cymbalta will depend on you. For some, Cymbalta makes them tired for others it has the opposite effect.

If you take it at night and you find it keeps you awake then take it in the morning.

I take mine a night, when I took it during the day I was yawning all day and could not sleep at night any way.

I take mine an hour before going to bed since it made me groggy when I first started taking it. I would take it in the morning with breakfast, drive to work and be ridiculously sleepy and groggy until an hour and 15 minutes (that accurate) after taking it. Then I would pop awake and be fine. Now I use it as part of my 'getting to sleep' routine.

FYI: I'm only on 20mg a day for my PN.

I take mine in the morning. It tends to sort of hype me up, not a lot, but enough that if i take it in the evening it can disturb my sleep. Hope that helps!

Since i take it twice a day, i take it in the morning, and at night. I have to admit that I think it DOES make me a bit drowsy. So taking it at night would seem to make sense as long as it doesn't pep you up. Best of luck. :) Hugs, Lee
