There is a sticky thread above with the link that will take you right to the SCS and Pain Pumps subforum.
I changed the title a bit so it might be easier to notice.

this is the title of it --Sticky: SCS and Pain Pumps subforum link

I replied there too Mike

what makes you think you cannot have a thread here on RSD to discuss SCS:confused:
Which one was "closed" ?

We do also have a separate forum for it if any of you choose to post there. It has been open for over a year and is one of the most active forums on NT

Dear Chemar -

The last time I looked, there was an official "sub-forum" for SCS under CRPS/RSD, just like "The Stumble Inn" appears in the MS forum. But now it appears to have taken a hike. Am I missing something?

There may have been a sticky thread on the subject, but no sub forum for it here on RSD.

No Mike
there has never been a subforum here for SCS

it has always been where it is now, as a subforum on the Medications & Treatments forum

there is a sticky here with a post from me directing folks to the subforum so perhaps you are confusing it with that?

I am not aware of any thread related to SCS being closed here, nor removed.

What I and others saw was a notation that I believe appeared in the index to the forums, literally showing it as a sub-forum of CRPS/RSD. Not as a sticky thread at the top of the CRPS/RSD page. And certainly not a thread.

And, as I recall with some certainty, it was right at the top of the CRPS/RSD page in little blue "link-like" HTML type. If it only went to a common forum - that's one thing - but that's not the way it looked on the flow chart. And now it's gone altogether.

Mike

ps See retraction below.

I have never seen what you are referring to Mike. The SCS subforum has been in the Medications & Treatments forum since its inception last year.

So, once again, rather than go round in circles, feel free to have as many threads here discussing SCS as needed, and if you would like to participate in the dedicated sub-forum that is actively used by many NT members, here is that link again, which is also in the sticky thread here http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum118.html

I see Jo has also bumped up some older threads here related to SCS

Dear Chemar -

I'm beginning to suspect that y'all were right, and I was just misreading your 02-08-2010 sticky note. Attentional issues were never my forte and the loss of executive function observed by Libon et al (2010) in 2/3rds of CRPS patients hasn't helped any.

If that's the case you have my sincere apology for pulling both you and Jo in on this fire drill. I look at some of the other principal forums you moderate - MS being by far the largest with this place in second - but then see that there are a good number of folks in forums such as ALS. The simple fact you guys digest that much pain all day is astounding. Tonglen practice writ large. Check it out: http://www.shambhala.org/teachers/pema/tonglen1.php And thanks for everything.

Mike
