I saw that. The patient felt as if his PD was almost gone. He looked so relaxed and content; it was great! The doctor said they were only allowed to work on one side of the brain, in case there was a bad outcome. Some people's positive results didn't last though, and they're looking into why.

The patient said he had to wait 6 months to see the benefit of the procedure. But he feels great, four years later.

Just noticed that the video is on the ABC page. It's worth watching.

The PD Society representative in th UK gave a very cautious welcome on the BBC , and emaphasised that further trials would be required over 3 - 5 years, and even then there would be no guarantee that it would be one fit-all solution.

But it does seem to provide some glimmer of hope
