Diabetes expels B1 - research shows.

This news today disclosed here on the BBC would seem to indicate a link between diabetes – both type 1 and type 2 – and low levels of B1.

This could be a knock on the head for those who would criticise supplements and vitamins.

Very interesting. Thanks, Tony. Diabetes doesn't appear to be a problem in my family, but of course we all know a lot of people with it, and any clues are soooo welcome.

Besides that, increasing circulation is important to many with nerve damage or decreased mobility for what ever reason. Good work.

Wow, thanks!

Tony,
I appreciate this link. I've sent it to my cousins and my best friend. They all have serious diabetes in the family.

Yep me too, thanks mate.
That is interesting for me as i was diagnosed as being prediabtic and on my way to becoming diabetic if i never pulled my socks up and changed my diet and exercise.
Even though i make sure i eat foods that contain a lot of Thiamine, like Pork, whole grains products & beans, i still like to know i am getting plenty of it, so i take 200 mg daily of Thiamine supplements and after reading this article i am really glad that i do.
You are right Tony, this would be a real knock on the head for the non believers of vitamins.

thanks for the article

WoW ! this is interesting news.....

...as I am a recently dx diabetic and my neuropathy mysteriously coincided with the start of my meds. The meds ( Glucovance ) lowered my lipids, cholesterol, and glucose to "remarkable" levels ( doctors words ). I swear , I believe the damn stuff causes a major metabolisim shift and depletes a lot of good stuff too! Proof..I don't have, but common sense says yes. Anyway, I going to start gulping some b-1---thnx Tony!
