10 mg Oxycodone HCL this week...
Has anyone filled a script for Oxycodone HCL 10 mg tablet from the generic mfg.
KVK-Tech recently? If so, have you had any problems with it? It is a bright pink round tablet, writing on it so small I cannot read it. I have been taking the 5 mg dose, from the same company for years without any problems. Just last week my doctor increased the dose to 10 mg. and I started taking it and my body completely rebelled. My lymph glands became so swollen they were painful, headache, rash, weak and just felt ill. After stopping it, the bad reaction subsided in 48 hrs. No other variables on my life changed and since I was already on the 5 mg dose, to me, it is obvious something is wrong with this batch of oxycodone or there is some filler I am having a problem with. I have contacted the mfg and the pharmacy. I am calling my pain doctor tomorrow. Any other suggestions what to do? Has anyone else ever had experience of getting a bad "batch" of prescription meds? Thanks, Diandra |

as pharmacy is calling it an allergic reaction, have not heard back from the company and my pain doc is on vacation....luckily this is not my main pain med, just a backup for additional pain relief....my doc was just trying to help with a dosage increase. On a positive note, it is a 10 day here in Connecticut, USA....it is dry, sunny with a lovely mild breeze and about 78 degrees....as close to perfect as it gets and my 91 yr old Mom who I am caretaker for is at my brothers for 3 weeks now so I am going to take advantage of this lovely day. Thank you my friends for always being here with help and support...I wish you all well, especially you Doc, you are always at the ready with such helpful resources and info. Bless you, Diandra |

You may hear back from the mfr. (I don't know the likelihood; MrsD prolly does), but I wouldn't be surprised/put out/suspicious either way. IMO, the best way to CYA in a situation like this is to make/follow-up/verify any reports/documentation in writing. Doc |
