New I have CRPS IN RIGHT FOOT.

Frown New! would like to find out about (SCS) when u have CRPS, THANKS SO MUCH.
Injured at work 3-25-09, Crush injury to right great toe, fracture to end halux tibial, crushing the inner neourological nerve, have had ten months of pain meds. X-RAYS, MRI, CT SCAN, which resulted to show intrusion, leaking fluid, building holding pockets, visible from the exterior of the foot, nothing was ever addressed or applied or explained, must of got blown away in the wind, because now I have more bumps than before, including the pain now runs from the end of my rt ft., to the heel, burning to the knee, to my lower back. PMD, after 1st visit on 2-4-10, recommends aquatic therapy, and SCS. However, my concerns after researching final results, all injured and diagnosed with RDS/CRPS show to be inconclusive, NOT ONE PERSON HAS BEEN PROVEN TO SHOW "COMPLETE RECOVERY"! Additionally, all it proves is that it reduces the pain from the original injury feeling progress, although, soon after pain and defaults form at other locations in the body, WHO BECOMES RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE NEW/ WHATEVER, PROBLEMS AND BILLS, since W/C claims non-reliability due to location of "new" injury?. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES!

Although WC pays 100%,,they do from a 20 yr ago experience,,try to show proof of a new injury to write off the original injury,,They did that to me on a back injury 20 yrs ago,,my concern to you is that they will try to prove that the spread is a secoundary issue or new injury to cancel out the original,,In my opion, its imperitive to get one or more dr's to dx it has RSD due to the original injury, which would exsplain the spread to other parts of your body,,Good luck to you,,as for the SCS,,reserach it fully,,it can help or hinder[make the spread worse and accelerated]..sounds like you may have RSDII[causalgia] which is what i have,,[meaning you have a nerve entrapment in which will cause a agressive spread],,,I pray to the Lord that you dont,,,I will lift you up in prayer as I will do for everyone on this board today,,,,,,,,,,,bobber P.S Its imperitive to get all the early treatment you can in the early stage,,,Blocks may help too,or irritate a flare or spread,,,,,also remember with Wc, by Law ,they must allow you a few dr's to choose from incase your not satisfied with the dr they appoint you with,,,

Hi. Welcome to the board though sorry you are facing this too. I am not familiar with WC so I am sorry I can't give input on that. You stated you have tried meds but have you had a block? I know I was suggested a scs before I had a block and after found out one should in most cases start with less invasive then a scs. I see you are in LA and I have seen a couple docs though one I was not happy with at all but there are docs in your area who deal a lot with rsd and I would look into another opinion.

Do you have a lawyer? With WC it's critical ....

There has been a lot written about the SCS here on Neurotalk - scroll back through old posts.

Good luck, XOXOX Sandy

Azaila, GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did too when my Mom was dying from cancer at age 46! We did a video deposition in 1973 just before she died and showed it at trial. Yes, we won 100% medical and large loss of companionship, mother. Dr. killed a lady before Mom and was going thru another trial when we were collecting. part of it. He was a crook besides being a bad dr. I am so grateful I got to take care of her her last 4 months. Having a journal and writing in it will be good for you and helpful when it comes time for possible trial. My Mom had a journal.
Take care, your friend loretta with soft hugs:grouphug::grouphug:

My mother also past away with Breast Cancer almost 16 yrs. ago from Breast implants that ended up leaking into her liver, I was so naive at that time plus 7 months preg. with a daughter that was little bit over a yr. old, When I went to get x-rays at the doctors office mon. I was haveing a bad day and to top that off, the man slammed his hand down on to the METAL TABLE, witch made it worse, I asked him as nice as I could not to do that again because that hurt me even more, and guess what he slammed his hand down again and said "you mean like that?", toda My husband and I went and talked to a man at the aquatic therapy and he told us with how sensitive I am I have Chronic RSD, and we should ask for a neutro second appinion, bobber he was saying exactly what u said so when i go see my PMD i will ask for second oppinion, thanks for everything, God Bless!
