Bio Freeze and cats

A little diversion here. I noticed my cat rolling around the floor like she just found some cat nip. I was perplexed wondering what she got into. I then remembered I had just sprayed my feet with biofreeze. Thought it was odd and wondered what is in that that makes a cat go crazy. It has happened since but I try not to spray around her because I don't know if it's good or not. Wierd huh!

Hmmmmm.... my cats HATE the menthol smell! My new little Maya squinches up her face and eyes in a very dramatic way!
They hate my Salonpas too, and won't let me pet them if I have that on my hand!

I haven't tried the Biofreeze, lately...haven't needed it.
I'll check that soon though and let you know.

Little Maya is not so hot for cat nip either. Some cats I've heard never like catnip. But she may be too young.

I had some cosmically strong fresh plants from a friend's yard,
and Weezie goes bonkers over it. I have it dried and double freezer bagged and she can still smell it and scratches the can I keep in it that way.

Did some checking and others have said that their cats like Biofreeze and also Icy Hot. It's the minty smell in them like catnip which is in the mint family. Not sure that it hurts them. They just like the smell.
