On Clinical Trials

I was looking at clinical trials, just to see if anything new was in the works for idiopathic PN....my impression, not much.:(

Same old....same old.:(:(

Anybody aware of anything new?

Mite this be one for you? It's sort of 'nearby'...

And many folks w/CIDP have had good results.....
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/N...m=CIDP&rank=10

I guess it'd depend on the 'exclusion criteria'? But, call them and see... what harm can it do to just ask?
Costs...insurances or whatever are steep, but, think about it long term?
That's what appeals procedures are for, and, the trials folks help you get thru it the most painless way possible [Asides from going THRU the trials themselves]
Asking is cheap. Doesn't cost anything, further steps? Priceless!
Let me know.. I can plug you into folks who've done it!

I'm hoping to find out more about what's in the pipeline--

--at the Neuropathy Summit conference in Washington on December 3-5.

The theme the conference revolves around this time is neuropathic pain, and there are supposed to be researchers on the program talking about the latest research initiatives; let's hope they have something that's more than tentative.

Glenn, is this the Neuropathy Association?

Just interested...as I live near there [D C], but GETTING there and BEING there as I'm now truly walking impaired is always a challenge... Let me know.. - Would love to meet you! - j

Yes, it is--

--I'm supposed to be a speaker on one of the panels (if they ever get back to me with arranegments--they do tend to work rather slowly and conmservatively over there).
