Considering a musical instrument

I am looking on Amazon for a way to learn and then play at home by
myself.
. . . . .perhaps a recorder.

I played music from about age 7 to 23.
It might be good for me to activate parts of my brain again.

The cheap soprano recorders will sound awful but maybe they are a good easy
way to have some quick success at accomplishing something.

I think that's a great idea, Mari. Playing a musical instrument can also be a good outlet
