Bobcat Has Insurance!!!! Whoohooo!

Hi all,

WOW!!! My grandfather is awesome! He sold his most prized possessions that he was going to leave to me as part of his legacy (they were worth a lot of money) and he not only helped me get insurance, but he also helped me pay off some of my bills!!! Like I said he is amazing! The insurance is going to cost us $440 per month but you know what, it will work out. I am so proud to have him as my grandfather.

This huge blessing means that I can now get access to healthcare that I didn’t have before and I don’t have to hang my head in shame begging for free healthcare. I also will be protected if I have to go back into the hospital!!! Meaning they won’t try to get me out as quickly as possible b/c of lack of insurance.

I am so excited about this insurance thing that I could cry (tears of joy), it is such an overwhelming act of mercy and kindness! I now know how much God must love us and it is hard for me to imagine that kind of love. B/c I think of how much my grandfather loves me, and then I try to imagine God’s love and it is just like, it blows my mind! I know my grandfather feels bad that he won’t be able to leave it to me, he will have little to leave to me now, but you know what. He left me the greatest legacy of all.

By making such an intentional sacrifice he got my attention in a way that I could never have imagined. I would have never dreamed that I would feel this loved and this cared for b/c I have been through so much with my family in the past and I have done some things that I know have hurt them (moving away under stressful conditions for all before I was ready just to get a way). And for him to do this, was the ultimate act of acceptance and forgiveness!!!

Coming back to Athens was the best thing I could have done b/c it restored my relationship with my family, who loves me more than I ever could have imagined.

His sacrifice means that I can get that MRI of my c-spine to help determine what is going on.

I also called my former ophthalmologist who is going to do some research with my records to see if she can figure out why I’m having double vision still. She was my surgeon for the strabismus (eye alignment) surgery that I had a age 23. Her findings or recommendations will be invaluable.

I was looking back at my posts and I just realized, this whole MS??? saga, which hopefully will be put to rest soon one way or another! But this whole saga for me has all happened within the past two weeks!!!! I can hardly believe it, I feels like the past two weeks have been a year! Or an eternity one or the other. I guess, if I get a firm dx w/in the next few weeks that will be pretty fast (for what ever is going on). It is amazing how time stands still when you are NOT having fun!!!!

i feel like the luckiest and most loved person in the world right now, b/c of what my grandfather did! the memory of this time will be with me forever and i will treasure it more than anything else!

I'm just thrilled for you! :D

There still are some wonderful people out there, and I'm glad you've found some-one who's on your side.

Happy Easter bobcatsrule.

That's cool!

He probably figured that the stuff he was going to leave you would be worth more to you now by selling them and using the money for your insurance.

My dad has been great and kept my insurance up for me the past few years. It's freakishly expensive, but my dad has been cool and has helped me with it. It's great to have people around who are willing to help.

That is an awesome man, Bob....

you know that he did the right thing, what he intended for you to have, may have been snatched up by someone else.

I hope that when I'm a grandma that I'll be that wise.

Good Luck!
