Does anyone experience intermittent pain with Tethered Cord?

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and would like to know about life with Tethered Cord syndrome. I also have CFS/ME as well. I had been having bad pain with the tethered cord- pain in low back, tailbone, pain in hips... It was excruciating. Am currently on gabapentin and when needed Norcos. Thank God for them- they are the only thing that helps cut the pain. What's great/ strange is I'm now virtually pain free. Yes , my tailbone still hurts and sitting/laying down can be an issue but not enough to warrant pain Meds. All urinary incontinence has subsided... It's just basically "almost" gone away. Is this normal? Does your pain come and go and how should I proceed with Nuerosurgeon recommendation of surgery? Oh yes, I also have Syrinx in both cervical and thoracic spine. No sign of rumors.
Thanks for any insight/ help and God Bless!
