Tempurpedic Pillow
 

As u all know
We have an incredibly difficult time sleeping due to pain unless we ingest a handful of pain or sleep medications and don't wake up for weeks.

The TEMPURPEDIC pillow was perscribed by Dr. Agnew. He and Dr. Collins insist laying flat so neck does not strain and cause more cervical pain upon waking. Remember, no TV watching or reading from bed.

It helps. Wish I could afford the mattress.

Is this pilllow a texture of gel in your hands or much firmer? and it is pillow shaped or cervical pillow shaped.

I saw online the therpurpedic brand but without feeling it do not want to spend the money. At the doctors office they have a similar pillow, it is with the humps in it for cervical, and very pliable almost like gel tempur material.

I had one here that is foam and just does not have sink-ability, it presses back with resistance and I can not use it.

My friend got the tempurpedic mattress and they don't last that long. I got a natural latex foam mattress, choosing the only foam that didn't hurt me in whole store and it's still as good as new many years later. I think they are suppose to last 10 years. It's alot cheaper than the tempurpedic one.

All I can say is that I have not had the pressure pain feeling like I do with my cervial pillow I use for driving. I'm starting to wonder if its causing more issues pressing on the cervical nerves going to all the extremities. Not driving without it though. Heaven forbid someone runs into me again and creates more pain to what I already have. Preventitive as I always say.

I purchased one at JCP for $50 and it did NOT help either with resistant like you experienced.

Dr Jordan prescribed a tempurpedic mattress topper for me- might be a cheaper alternative than a mattress.

I haven't gotten it yet.

Tempurpedic pillow sounds nice. I have a cheap cervical pillow from Ikea, only think it ended up good for was sitting in one chair i have trouble with.

We put a generic type tempurpedic topper on our waterbed -
the topper pad just makes it extra comfy.
Plus we can turn the heater down and off in the summer since the pad holds body heat quite well.
It may retain too much heat for those summer nights that just don't cool off though.:(
I've got 2 sizes of the contoured pillows- small and medium.
I had to get the small size when I was having the real bad neck spasms, all I could be comfortable with was just a slight pillow to just support the cervical part of my neck.

Somewhat OT...my physio just recommended (and ins bought) a water pillow...anyone have any experience with them? Haven't used it yet...think I will fill it up tonight...
