Coenzyme Q10

Hi there,

I need to buy CO Q10 for my Dad. I hear that most people take 2 -500mg pills.

Can you guys tell me where you buy them online?

Thanks,
Sharmila

vitacost and iherb generally have good prices and many options.

coq10

Vitaline Formulary is the manufacturing company which provided the supplement for the original study published in 2002, which showed a slowing of progression in early stages of PD. The dosage used was 1200 mgm/day

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12374491

I have read Vitaline company is giving PD patients a cost break (?) though cannot verify that statement. I do know the mitochondrial community has obtained a cost break.
In the past, I read that formulations manufactured by Tishcon were very absorbable, and a pharmacist friend maintained (several yrs ago now) that Sam's brand of coq10 was also "absorbable enough".
We have had to change formulations due to development of nausea with chewable forms of coQ10. At present, my husband uses Walgreens's brand of CoQ10 400 mgm capsules (these are the easiest to swallow for him). I have no idea the absorbability or purity of the product.

I've found Swanson's to have the cheapest prices:

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/

They have it in Ubiquinol form, which some feel is more potent as well as being smaller and easier to swallow.

forms

we were taking the vitaline formula....don't think they give cost breaks, each bottle was 75 bucks!

our nutritional oncologist has subsequently recommended the ubiquinol form of coQ10, made by Kaneka and it needs to be hydrosoluble (I think that means water soluble)...we get ours now at epic4health and they have a 200mg coQ10 we use...I think it's called Qsorb but can't remember. you get a pretty good discount if you buy more than 1 or 4 at a time. it's a lot of pills but we are hoping it helps in some way.

I ditto the recommendation for Epic4health.com.

They have good prices on high quality, more absorbable CoQ-10.

They also sell a enhanced form of curcumin. (Curcugel).
