referral for therapy for wrong reasons

I see a pain management doctor for injections and scripts. She is okay, but doesn't listen to good and often hurries do to a lot of patents.

Yesterday, I had to wait an hour and a half then some sales reps came in with an attorney for a therapy place. It made me wait for another 20 minutes or more. So much for patients come first.

I finally see her for a quick visit in office and get injections. Don't you know it, but she gives me referrals for the same place that sales reps were from. They were still in office. I've been going there for years and she never did before. After all I am referred to her, she is not my treating doctor!!

I am not going. I've been to hundreds of therapies to no avail, even made me worse at times. I tried to tell her therapy is not for me, but she didn't listen.

PS i looked at therapy place and they want medical release and permsiiion to for you to recieve ALL treatments they recommend. I am on SSDI and workers comp. They seem like a place companies would use to force people back to work.

The sales reps for therapy place had attorney with them (3 people). Sign contract? I also found out patient before me got referred to same place. She didnt refer general therapy but specific place that with reps and attorney still in building.
It seems suspicious. Some kind of agrreement reached.

Would they sign contract to send patients there?
Next time I go I'm saying its not for me. I looked into place.

I looked at therapy place and they require medical release and for patient to sing agreement that you have to accept ALL their treatments . It seems like aplace companies would use to force people back to work as soon as possible. I am out of work permemntly. I would never give them that permission.

That's annoying to have to go thru that, and does seem a suspicious connection..:(

Now therapy place has been calling me. Doctor gave my number to them. Twice they called and I didn't answer. They are soliciting medical treatment. Dr. shouldn't of given third part my name and number.

I'm angry about that.

I'm angry on your behalf. As though you didn't have enough to deal with!

I think you should answer, tell them "not interested, thanks; don't call again" and then hang up. Then you should tell your doctor's office the same thing. I find what you described suspicious.

I wouldn't sign anything saying I would accept "all" medical treatments as a blanket statement, either. Medical care is, and should be, a very personalized thing - what works for you may not work for me - especially when dealing with a syndrome as complicated as TOS.
