I am my own payee but mom insists on acting like a fudiciary without any paperwork.

I have a wonderful mom and dad. They don't have a social life and i can't help but feel guilty because i was a rotten kid. I have schizoprenia and i live in a veteran's group home. My mom is my representative payee because i don't trust social workers at the va. I am considered to be 'known' by the va because i have moved around a lot. While waiting for benefits i was homeless. My dad gave my mom information for the church and she decided the only help i would get in peru, in was going to mn teen challenge. I left flat out and went homeless for 10 years. I am in a home now and get humored more than anything. A lot of people are mad because they think i am not even a veteran and shouldn't have any benefits. I am sorry back in the day people didn't celebrate birthdays but laws changed. I am not ungrateful for the help i got but i will not kiss someones but for eternity because they threw a wrench into there busy schedule. The complaint is my mom gets all kinds of weird advice and then comes to the group home crc people and want to know why joe jackson in peru indiana couldn't get the same help or something. Indiana veterans hospital flat out suck and there group home programs are not standardized. I have the manuals and the homes don't even have to follow the regulations. We pay for our stay with the money that we get each month. Someone always gets stuck paying more than that though.

Hi.

Welcome to Neurotalks.

Mind if I ask you a question? How is it that you are in a veteran's group home. How old are you?

Thanks much

Melody
