Tubal ligation, side effects?

Just curious as to anyone who'se had this procedure done, what if any side effects did you encounter? Thanks in advance. :)

Nothing but good ones for me. No pregnancies.

Teeny scar right about my belly button. Can't even see it.

How long was the recovery time Curious? I need to get this done because I just cannot get pregnant again, not with all the psyche meds I take. THanks for replying.

I had mine done right after delivery of Lil'Monkey, so on that I can't say for sure.

I had her on a Saturday afternoon. Drove us home on Monday morning ( a standard) and was back to work on Tuesday...so not long.

Pam, have you looked in to Essure? It's done inthe office. No down time. It's a permanent blockage of the fallopian tubes.

I'll do a search and give you a link.

Thanks for the great link Curious, I hadn't heard about this method yet. I will have to ask my 'provider' if it's covered. :D

Pretty cool huh? If I had need, that is what I would look into.

Pamster 04-01-2009 05:30 PM

It is very cool, I hope it's covered, the nearest dr who does it is like an hour away but so what? If it's covered it might be worth it. :D Thanks for taking time to look this up for me Curious!
