What type of Nurse Practitioner?

Hi all, I recently completed my BSN degree and plan to apply to grad school to become a Nurse Practitioner. I have a question for you. I have been visiting epilepsy sites for a long time as others of you and would like to know if there is a Nurse Practitioner in your Comprehensive Center? I am assuming most are being treated by Epileptologists since we who frequent boards like this have stressed that a lot over the past years. If there is a NP in your Epileptologist's clinic or center, is it a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP)? Also, are you satisfied that you are receiving the best care possible for your situation? If so, I'd love to know if there is a NP and the type, FNP or ANP. All other thoughts on this matter are welcomed too. Thanks. Tattoo- C.P. epilepsy with successful surgery

Hi there and first of all - welcome to the board!

If you go where I go: http://epicareflorida.com
on the left column - Click on ABOUT US
Scroll down - and you will see the Nurses and their Ranks
and the types, and yes we do have some ARNP in the
office, I saw them, but they're not on the page however.
These are just some of the staff to give you an
idea of what all you can look into, and what's out
there!

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR PURSUIT!

Welcome!

This is where I've gone for testing: http://www.hoaghospital.org/epilepsy/

My Epileptologists office just has the doctor and the Medical Assistant.

It looks like there is (or should be) a NP at the Epilepsy Center I go to, when I googled it I found this link where they are hiring. :P

Thanks all. I am not a NP yet but am in the application stage for the NP program. That hospital above is looking for a NP, but I was wondering what type most Centers prefer since there is more than one. I haven't decided which I want to persue, so I thought getting ideas here would be a good place to gather info to help me decide. Thanks. Tattoo
