The Villain is Parkinson's
 

We are the young, songs never sung,
Some much of fun, siphoned away
We didn’t choose these leaden shoes,
Nothing accrued could replace

Dreams that were lost, the hidden cost,
How hard we fought premature age
We can’t provide, you took our pride,
Hope left our eyes, filled now with pain.

For strength for one more hour, we pray
The strength to fight, just one more day
The strength to - not give away –
Our time, because we were afraid.

We will unite & win this fight
& spread the word, to find a cure.
Tulips wake to April sun,
Proclaiming it – Parkinson’s month.

Parkinson’s disease hurts,
Awareness – helps spread the word
With hope & with each victory won,
We’ll slay this villain – Parkinson’s
