After effects due to deficiency in Vitamin D

What causes Vitamin D deficiency? What causes this deficiency? What is the normal level for vitamin D? How can it be improved? What kinda supplements should be taken to compensate it? What all diseases can be caused due to lack of Vitamin? :)

Well, razzle51 I have also known that deficiency of Vitamin D also causes Arthritis that's the reason in many cases supplements of Vitamin D are being recommended to get relief of such disease.

I fail to see the logic of a chewable having no fillers!

The amount of D in one dose is like the size of 2 grains of salt or LESS (a portion of a microgram).... to make up a chewable tablet 99.9% is ALL filler of some kind.

Some people are just prone to constipation...like some people are prone to headache. Both these reported discomforts are very common when people take a new "thing" whether there is a logical cause or not. Most studies show these side effects for many drugs, (even in the placebo groups) for example.

Just taking the advice from my Pharmacist...and he is the expert. He and my dr. say that Vit D is very constipating .. So for me I hope the chewables work .. Along with the new med for IBS Linzess .
