Kiko -
First, I had a SLAP repair in 2009, too. Definitely a hard, uncomfortable rehab!
For me, both of my shoulder injuries upset my neck so it probably contributed to the degeneration occuring at the C5/6 levels. My neck problems dramatically improved after both of my shoulder surgeries (one on each side). I face a fusion of C5/6 in the near future but holding off as long as possible.
I can't say if the shoulder injuries help cause the neck problems but when the shoulder is injured, you compensate and this could lead to bad posture which would affect the neck.
