Ex-teammate: Junior Seau had 1,500 concussions

Donīt know what to make of this article, seems like the number of concussions is overblown by a large margin. If this is even remotely true, i cannot imagine how it would be to be inside of his head.

Just glad I sticked to tennis :)

Whether it was 1500 concussions or 15 concussions and 15000 subconcussive impacts, the result is the same. Research shows that football players average 600 to 1200 subconcussive impacts per season. Just Optimist, Pop Warner, Junior High and High School football are enough to cause lifetime damage.

Heading the ball in soccer causes less subconcussive impacts but heading drills can be as devastating as a single moderate concussion. The known 10% drop in IQ is enough to wonder about lifetime problems.

Good find GlassHead.
