Spinal cord stimulators for Peripheral Neuropathy
Seeking information from Peripheral Neuropathy (I happen to be non-diabetic) sufferers that have had experience with Medtronic's Spinal Cord Stimulator. How has this worked for you? Good? Bad?
I also have had surgery on the top of the foot for my PN and have had the Peroneal nerve freed up from entrapment. I had this on both feet. Although pain free for a couple of years on each foot the freedom from pain from the UNentrapment surgery did not last for me longer than that couple of years. ken |

Hello Ken,
Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups. There is a NeuroTalk SCS and Pain Pumps Forum here. Just click on that link and it will open. There hasn't been much posted there in a long time but if you run a search there you may find a lot of helpful information. Hope that helps a little. Here is the link for the NeuroTalk Peripheral Neuropathy Forum and NeuroTalk Forum Search Feature take care there. |
It is unusual--
--for release surgery to be involved in peripheral neuropathy unless there is both direct evidence OF biomechanical compressive effects as a cause AND extensive testing has ruled out more global possible causes of the neuropathy.
This is most common in spinal issues when imaging can directly correlate spinal issues with dermatomic symptoms. What kind of other evaluations and testing have you had? |
