Chiropractor

Hi. You may recall that back in February I saw a chiropractor who specialises in cranial massage for babies etc and I saw her and was told that she could help me feel so much better. Xrays were taken and I was poked and prodded and was told that she could tell that I was feeling awful. She discussed with me that if she began working on me I would feel worse before I felt better.

I went away and thought that I could not deal with feeling worse than I was at that stage and didn't even follow up what the xrays showed.

Well - I have now been back and discussed the xrays. They show a chip of bone that would have come from either my first or second vertebrae. My MRI of my brain from 3 years ago shows that I may have had fractures in my facial bones. Heavens, I am now wondering if I have told about this - if so excuse me! This is great news for me as I have constantly been told that my symptons are extreme for my accident. In other words I am a fake. Now something actually shows trauma.

Anyway, tomorrow I am seeing a chiropractor closer to home who has been referred by the other one - I know that you have to be very very careful who you see. So please everybody - wish me luck!

Also I am sorry that I have not been posting - I am such a misery at the moment I just feel that I don't have anything to say worth hearing - i.e does anybody really need to know that it is now exactly 7 years and 4 months that I have been like this - I am even tired of myself!

Lynlee

Please all of you rest........... that is the key, tiredness exaggerates all symptons and pain. BE KIND TO YOURSELVES - I wasn' but I am finally learning!

Been to chiropractor

Well, have had my visit to the chiropractor and am going again on Wednesday morning.

This new one had a quick look at the xrays and said that my top vertebrae are at the wrong angle - she did all sorts of push/resist tests and said that one side of my body is far weaker that the other - hence balance problems, she also explained why I have migraines from over exertion and said that it is very common for you to feel that your head is not attached to your spine properly.

I so hope that she has me feeling better - I will let you know how it goes. I know some of you have had success - here is hoping!!!!!!

Did she do a c1-c2 adjustment? {also called upper cervical or atlas, axis?}
My chiro does those along with regular adjustments and other modalities for my chronic RSI/TOS.

Best of luck, I hope it works well for you.

Hi Lucy

Hi Lynlee good to hear your seeing a Chiropractor. The health benefits are amazing.

I have been going back to my chiropractor now twice a week since May and it
seems to be helping with the headache issue.

Take Care and enjoy your summer Jeffn

hi lynlee

hi lynlee

I have a friend in NZ who is a chiropractor in paraparaumu now I don,t know if this is the right coarse of action for you , if you have weakness this is neurological and this chip off bone if possible should be removed, my mate in pram sorted my neck out when,I put it out there are good and bad chiropractors , my mate has a degree in physiology and is a trained radiologist, but if its a bone chip surgery is the best option which facial bones had fractures ? there maybe other factors to your head aches

kind regards vini
