Please tell me Copax causes menopause like sx.

I have been having power surges all week long. I was sitting here today in a tank top about to sweat to death! My fiance is wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. My daughter is wearing fleece pants and they are both complaining that it's cold in here. Been doing this for a week. And now I am freezing and in 20 minutes I will be hot.

Nevermind the popcorn fiasco earlier. And then I am watching a movie while updating my inventory you know half the screen a movie the other half me actually working. I get caught up in this movie and I am crying my eyes out woke my dd up I was crying so hard she comes down to hug me.

I am a wreck this week. Please tell me it is the C and not a by product of father time. My mom thinks its funny. My sis went through the big M early I think she was 30 when she ended up having a hysterectomy. Make it stop!

ps if you want to watch a really good movie... the secret life of bees... it's a really good movie.

But beware you will need a box of tissues

I'm only on my 2nd week of C but I'm having power surges too.

I can’t explain it better than that. For example, I’m sitting here on the computer, reading the news or blogs I read. The next thing I know I get this surge going through my body that feels like it flows through your body and makes me laugh or giggle and rub my hands or something similar, kind of like a surge of happiness or energy. It happens at any time actually, if I’m happy or not.

Its really strange and I want to get up and do something, like clean the house or something requires energy. It goes as quickly as it comes on and its not related to anything. Its plain weird. I’ve had this on and off for quite a while but I always thought of it as something that my body does with my mind to get me going. I almost feel like I’m going to bounce off the wall with that surge. And I’m starting to wonder if this is something normal or MS related. Its starting to bother me, that surge that feels like happiness and energy. Its not something normal.

I never saw The Secret Life of Bees but my favorite movie when I "need" to cry is Top Gun. Does it to me every time.

I hope you feel better about these surges soon

Legz, Sorry about the surges. I have not experienced that myself. I do experience bizarre colorful dreams though. You could call Shared Solutions and talk to them about it and see what they have to say.

Also, I have not seen the movie but I read the book and it was so, so good.

I was on the edge of menopause (50), Novantrone (a Chemo and protcol said it could do this) hastens it, so went into menopause. Hot flashes, did not mind bathroom runs in my tank in the night in my cold house, felt good!!!

Most women start menopause around same age as Mom did. My sister and I did.

I (and my docs) blame mine on the MS. I had the hot flash like stuff before I started C. I call it my broken thermostat. Being in my mid 30s, I totally understand my MIL's frustration with her menopause. So weird to be able to relate to the ups and downs of the internal temp and energy.

I generally wear light clothes around the house and have a zippered sweatshirt on constant standby for when I get chilled. Have a blanket on standby on the couch as well. Ceiling fans have also been my friend.

I'm telling you, I actually got out of bed at 2:30 this morning to step out on the brick patio barefoot in my tank top and pj pants and it felt so good.

oh, sorry about this. i know what you mean.
early ovarian shutdown runs thru my family and i went thru it in my 30's. i was an emotional mess too.

i'd see your pcp or ob/gyn dr. they can draw labs to test for hormone levels in your body.

i've been on C for 6 yrs and havn't experienced that.
you might call shared solutions or the pharmacy and ask them about side effects.

good luck.

So i talked to my Neuro today and shared solutions and my girly doc. I am going in next week for blood work. They all told me the same thing. Your symptoms sound like early meno. Awesome! And you know the best info I got from the Gyno?

Prepare to laugh.........................

The most common cause of early menopause in women my age is.......

Autoimmune Disorders! Go figure!
