I could explain
Everything
if given the time
I guess
I never really
Knew myself
All these years
I pretended to know
things were
mediocre, at best
I was happy
I told myself
more though,
I was just grateful
grateful, that someone
finally loved me
grateful, to have something
I'd never had before
I had lived
Such a hard life
I just wanted
to have some peace of mind
and, someone came along
they attempted to save me
and, did a pretty good job
in spite, of me
but, I still
wasn't happy
so, I owe him
an apology
for giving him
my heart, temporarily
I wasn't well enough
I shouldn't have been
With anyone
I guess
I just
needed saving
and, he just needed
to be that savior...
