Thank you from Lady Veteran

Thank you to everyone who wrote to tell me thank you for serving the Country. I am a former 91B Combat Medic in the U. S. Army. I never dreamed that this community existed and am happy to have found this web as well as the support and information that is contained here.

I can hardly control my excitement to know that I am not alone and someone gets what I am going through. For so long, people have told me it was in myh head and I was lazy. Me, an ex Veteran, lazy? LOL! I finally got diagnosed but am still get denied by Social Security on the following basis:

1 Judge said, "If you can wear fake nails (nails .99 nail glue.99) then you can work!

2nd Judge said, "I don't feel you deserve your benefits and I am not giving them to you."
She also verbally disrespected the 3 Physicians that she hand picked out personally for finding me 100% disabled!
I guess graduating from college with 2 Bachelor's degrees means the pain stops, you don't have to take insulin, and you are magically cured of whatever ails you! I am still trying to figure out what medical and legal precedent that this ruling falls under. If anyone knows please let me know. I guess I am stupid and still learning!
Thanks for listening!

You are quite welcome, LV. It takes a special grit and determination to do what you have done and I genuinely appreciate it.

That judge has a big, ole corncob up her butt! I can never quite get over people who think that we want to be disabled. It's the most completely stupid, ignorant notion I've ever encountered. Do they honestly think that we want to throw all our expensive education and experience and goals away to live in misery and indigence? Pah-leeeeeeeeze!!!

As an Australian, not an American, I just wanted to say that you are to be admired for what you've done for your country. It takes a special person to do that, and obviously, you are one.

I'm sorry that you had a hard time in front of that judge, and I agree with AfterMyNap when I say that she had a bee in her bonnet that day.

I have recently had to give away my career as well, so I know how demoralising that is, without some-one taking away your right to SSD.
