New symptom

HI all, just curious. I had an episode the other day. I would stretch and the muscles in my legs/arms would just feel like they were vibrating after the movement. This has happened several times in the past month or two. But this last "spell" I had serious trouble moving my legs to walk for a short time.
Input??
thanks

Could be the beginning of spasticity. If it keeps up, or you are uncomfortable, but some heat on your muscles for a few minutes.

Talk to your doctor about it.

Warm epsom salt baths could help.

There have been several threads lately about muscle spasms that you might want to read. Seems like it's going around! LOL!

of course my first response is have you notified the doc?, if not please do so, and yes many of us vibrate, its annoying I have not had it bother me enough to hinder my walking, so that's why I said call doc. I hope it eases up for you Deb

Let me know what they say!

As Cheryl said, it seems to be a symptom of spasticity.

I have it every time I don't move around for a short while, and especially when I get up from sleeping. I have learned to NOT stretch, until my limbs limber up a little ... or I risk falling.

Daily stretching exercises can definitely help, as can warmth. It is worse for me in the colder months.

As has been mentioned....spasticity. Spasticity can affect mobility but there are meds that can help.

Vibrations/buzzing is a separate symptom known as an abnormal sensation (normal for MS) or a Sensory symptom. Many will notice an increase of vibrations after or during exercise. Once you have relaxed a bit the vibrations will decrease or completely go away.

You can also have vibrations/buzzing when doing nothing.

I get the vibrating sensation in my right foot all the time. It's almost like someone has put a vibrating cell phone on my foot. It will vibrate for a few seconds, then stop. It repeats this scenario until I get up and walk or stretch.

It's not painful, doesn't hinder my walking so I just assume it's one of the sensory sx of this lovely disease.
