I just found a zero carb Pasta

It has been featured on Rachel Ray's show and I have never heard of this product.

Here's the link:

http://www.miraclenoodle.com/

Since it has NO CALORIES, NO CARBS, NO FAT, NO ANYTHING, and it indicates it's perfect for diabetics BECAUSE IT SLOWS THE DIGESTION, well it seems to be all good. Not cheap, but hey, if a person can eat pasta while being a diabetic, imagine what we can do with this stuff!!! Pasta with vegetables, pasta with soup, pasta with ANYTHING.

The only thing I have a question about is that it says:

"it slows the digestion" because it makes you feel fuller because it is soluble fiber.

Now I take benefiber and I do just fine with that.

If I eat this product, does this mean I no longer have to do the benefiber thing.

And because slows the digestion process, does this mean that a person doesn't go to the bathroom every day because if this is the case, forget it, I LIKE GOING TO THE BATHROOM EVERY DAY.

Any and all comments (Hey Mrs. D, here's a good one for ya) are welcome

Yes, they are fiber...you wouldn't need the Benefiber with these.
BUT you will need alot of MONEY to buy them. They are expensive!

They look interesting...if they show up locally I might try them.
But I am not paying $10 for shipping and 21.00 for the item anytime soon.

You know you have to have "some"carbs... daily. It is not feasible to be carb free. That puts a big load on the liver.

I get plenty of fiber from what I put in my salads. My tomatoes, my veggies. I don't eat refined sugars or carbs, just the complex ones. Not too many bean either because I don't like gas (even with Beano).

So this looks good? Next time I go to Whole Foods in NYC (which is not happening for a while), I'll give it a shot.

Can you imagine? Eating Pasta for Dinner (See I know how to do portion control). But can you just imagine, digging into a lovely Pasta and broccoli with chopped sauteed garlic.

Oh my goodness.

Thanks much

Melody

There is a new pasta by Barilla... Called Barilla Plus.

It has protein in it!
It is not expensive and it is very nice IMO.

It has alot of protein in it:

A little goes a long way IMO. I use the Angel Hair version sometimes.

Has flax in it too:

Here is another one:

Read carefully.... looks promising. I'll have to see how much it costs tho.

I've been using Barilla Plus for a few years, at around $2.49 per box. It's healthy but tastes good. :)

I've used Dreamfields (and the Barilla and whole wheat pasta) ever since they were introduced. Re: Dreamfields: It has carbs. They say they use a different process which let's the body metabolize the carbs differently, but I don't know. To me, it didn't make any difference, that's why I stopped eating any pasta.

But if I ever get my hands on this miracle noodle thing, I'll be sure to update all of you.
