Recipes/Products for a GF/SF/CF/EF newbie?

Hi - So in addition to my other allergies (both food and not), I just found out I have sensitivities to Gluten, Soy, Dairy, Eggs, and Yeast. Probably corn too, is my guess, but not sure. Is anyone else on here the same? I'd love to be able to share recipes and product ideas. With all this being new, I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to avoid all of these --- especially due to the fact that I have other food allergies that cause big and immediate problems. Thanks.

Well, I eat no grains at all, including rice. I also do not touch any of the "fake" grains like buckwheat, quinoa, and such. I can't eat nightshades, cruciferous veggies, red meat, sugar, yeast, sweeteners other than stevia...the list continues.

I do not use recipes. I eat chicken, rarely fish, green beans, peas, carrots, zucchini, acorn squash, pumpkin, almonds, walnuts, apples, pears, peaches, cherries, and I make my own almond milk. Actually, I eat much healthier than just about anyone I know!:p

Hi, GFRice. :)

I just avoid the grains. I do not try to make things out of substitute ingredients which imitate the things made with grains.

Some use coconut. Some use tapioca flour or rice flour.

My food plan is just as unique to me as Deb's is to her.

I eat according to a food plan which is anti-inflammatory.

I eat beef, beef fat, beef bacon and liver, chicken liver, wild Salmon, egg yolks (am allergic to whites), pastured butter, cream (which I also use to make yoghurt), a few herbs and vegetables. I eat fewer than 20 carbs per day. I follow much of the Failsafe Diet for choosing vegetables.

I don't eat any packaged/prepared/refined foods, and of course, no sugar/sweets/artificial sweeteners or alcohol.

I don't eat legumes or sweet fruits. I don't use nuts or seeds or their oils.

I don't eat anything with phytic acid, which blocks mineral absorption.

I don't use recipes or spices, except black and white pepper.

Dr. Kurt Harris' dietary recommendations at his site, PaleoNu, have helped me very much. I find his whole site to be an excellent reference.

All the best to you.

We like the Food Sensitivity Journal blog because the woman who posts puts a new simple recipe out about once per week. In addition, she is so very educational about so many things. I am still wandering through her website and am continuing to learn.
