Overall, federal science fares well in President Barack Obama's recently announced FY2010 budget, but the National Institutes of Health would net a pretty paltry increase under the president's plan. A large multicenter, prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial presented for the first time here at the American Academy of Neurology 61st Annual Meeting shows the dopamine agonist significantly reduced depressive symptoms compared with placebo in elderly PD patients with stable motor function.
