cervical spine problems

i have a few things come up on my mri. reduced sinal in the discs between c5-7. increased T2W signal in c5/6 annulus in keeping with annular tear. central broad base disc bulge at the c5/6 level with slight effacement of the thecal sac & ventral rami. moderate right c6/7 paracentral disc bulge osteophyte complex extending to the right lateral recess, causing impingement on the ventral rami. perineural fat signal is lost at the c6/7 level on the right, making significant nerve root sheath compression.
can anyone help me understand this, and am i looking at surgery?
