New to the group

Hi everyone! My name is Misty and on October 29th, 2011, I had a fall that resulted in a T4 burst fracture, with a T1-T6 fusion, broken ribs, broken clavicle, and calcifying tendinitis of the right shoulder. I am very grateful to be alive and especially to be able to walk and have feeling. I am here in the hopes of finding others who have had similar surgeries so as to compare our progress and encourage each other on the road to recovery.

Although I am in pain, and feel like I am starting a new life, each day I make new progress. The weirdest symptom I have experienced is the feeling that my arms have been cut off and reattached. Has anyone else felt this? My Dr put me on Gabapentin for the extremity pain, but it seems to have worsened the pain, I will talk to my Dr. about this on my next visit.

I look forward to sharing stories with you. :)

Misty
