Hi Shaky and Welcome,
If I understand your post, you had surgery in march 2008 on your right foot? And everything went downhill from there. You will get a lot of support here from some very caring compassionate people. It's imperative you get a diagnosis. Have you been to a neurologist with RSD experience? The sores not healing can be very serious! I had two sores on my leg that wouldn't heal and got infected. My doctor was very concerned. I went to the hospital and eventually they healed. But it can lead to bad things like MIRSA and STAPH.
It's not uncommon for surgeon, Drs. to pass you off. They really don't want to be connected with RSD as it's a long expensive disorder. You can go into remissionif treated EARLY, like 3 months. Many a Dr and or Work Comp have been sued for not diagnosising correctly.
Personally, I would contact a very good Work comp attorney, even one out of town in a larger city. They will help you find a competent Dr. I really don't don't much about work comp, but others on the forum do and I'm sure will write you.
My RSD followed an operation, a biopsy and the RSD spread. That was 13 years ago. I wasn't diagnosed for 4 years.
So please, get those lesions checked out right away, ER would not be out of order. Skin lesions are common with RSD. We have circulation problems.
Do you have electric jolts, spasms, jerks?
If you want to say where you live or area, you may get some Dr. referrels by others. We aren't Drs. and are very careful about giving advice. We always refer you to your Dr. but sounds like you've been given the run around.
I year is a long time-Don't give up-Get Work Comp involved thru attorney. They are legally responsible for your medical bills and loss of work etc, as you WERE hit by a machine AT WORK. As they are responsible for your medical bills, they will pay your bills for lifetime, as there is no cure for RSD. Has any Dr. suggested RSD?
So sorry you are going thru this. There are medications to make you more comfortable, that stop the spasms. Our memory is affected, searching for a work while talking, a little slowness of recalling words. Let us know how you are, we care. Loretta:) A couple good sites for information is RSDSA and

Welcome to the forum.

I don't think there's much advice I can give you beyond trying to find a good pain management specialist.

HI Shaky,
First I would like to welcome you to the forum. I have a couple of questions for you. Did the surgery come first before the accident and the symptoms of weakness and shakiness after the surgery or did you get hurt on the job with the machine and then have surgery to try and fix your problem from the injury? What state do you live in and did you lose your job after the injury? You are probably wondering why I am asking all these questions. Well, because I got hurt on the job and lost my job after a year and a half of working under docs care. I know quite a bit about what goes on with WC because i am still going through a lot with them and it might actually help me understand things better so maybe I can help you a little more. I just don't have enuff info so if you fill us all in maybe you could help all understand what happened and help you a little better. Sorry to hear you are going through so much. Take care the best you can and if you want to pm me you are more than welcome too.

Sincerely,
Tracy Tracy(screwballpookie)
