A really weird symptom-any others have it?

--Just got back from my neuro- where I got more botox injections--for my "hemifacial spasm"-I made the mistake of not getting any for 14 months--(When I should be getting them...every 5 ...6 or 7 months....at most!)

--My neuro-gave me extra botox for my neck....that started to spasm....(The hemispasm can spread to the neck muscles)---anyway.....---to this really "Weird" symptom!

I had been writing about how----some nights....while in bed....right before going off to sleep---I get this mild.."electric shock" feeling in my head!

Told my neuro.....AND an epilepsy specialist! All my tests are "normal"....Brain MRI.....& last week an EEG --!

Drs...said...just "stress related"--! Well....last couple weeks...they have been going away...BUT.....last 2 nites......when falling off to sleep-----ALL of a sudden......any sound in my room......(Like i have an air purifier.....makes a nice....soft soothing light hum......)----sudddenly for a ..."Split second"......it gets really loud! Like my hearing....suddenly becomes.....really.."acute"-! And...it sounds like a .."Buzz"--! But..loud! Just last for a second or two---then I go off to sleep-!

Has anyone ever...expierienced---anything like this? If so,.......WHAT the heck is it? Get back.....with some thougts....Thanks....Chris

My experience is similar. Occasionally I have been woken from sleep with a sudden extremely loud noise in my head. The first one was an explosion, then a loud clapping noise, or it could be a chain clanking. The noise is sooo loud that I wake up instantly but I know immediately that I am not in danger as it is very obviously inside my head. I googled "loud noises in head"and discovered that there is a condition known as ëxploding head syndrome". Amazing !! Each sufferer seems to experience different noises and reactions so this could be what you have. My noises have not happened in several months and I think that they may have had something to do with stress or anxiety or something like that because they did not proceed on to something worse. The other possibility is maybe a side-affect of a medication as I am on a few ! I did not tell the Dr in case she thought I was crazy.
Hope yours goes away soon. m
