Hi Everyone!

Hey guys!:p

I am new.
Newly diagnosed, but been feeling "loca en la cabeza" for years and years and years.
Im not sure about the diagnosis though, because my drs seem to be trying to handle me gently, I guess they think I may spazz out or something. One doc said mood disorder, and the other doc has me doing a whole bunch of bipolar exercises, so go figure.
Im so glad I found this site, because this is all so new to me, and confusing me.
Lately I dont know where the bipolar ends and where I began.
I appreciate being somewhere that I don't have to hide it, or be ashamed, and having people who understand to talk about it with.

This is a good question.
I'm not sure the distinction matters much. I think everything blends into one another nicely.

Thanx for the welcoming!

You are right Mari, they probably do blend nicely to make an entire me, so maybe it doesnt matter. As long as I am safe and healthy, my eccentricities should not matter, lol

Ive always wanted to paint Bizi, Im thinking of giving a whirl at it. A class sounds like a good idea. I think I may start off independently at first. Im not good at taking classes, I feel like an outcast all the time lol. I love learning stuff on my own or in private lessons though. I wonder are there any private lessons for art.

Hi welcome,
Not about the diagx it is about the unconditional caring here.
The lables don't always fit; sick of doc's trying to lable...it is about the symptoms.

I had friends that were labled Bipolar for years and then new doc's thought more of a personality disorder the mood disorder.

Getting the right med and doc, therapist is most helpful. It is the denial or not knowing that traps into a life of ?????? and stressors.
I have anxiety panic disorder, and ptsd, the gang here is a blessing of support.

Not one med, not one doc, not one treatment is the answer, patience and knowing you are not alone in challanges is a huge relief.
Just my thoughts, it more about us and life we want to have an lessen triggers.

Please don't ever feel you have to hide or be ashamed or feel in anyway lesser than any other person. Yours is a condition caused by an unstable neurotransmitter. Here are two links that will give you some details. There are many more on the internet.

I personally let everybody that I have to regularly deal with it know. I don't make a 'deal' of it. it is a health condition as much as Lupus, which by the way I also have.

So chin up and kick a*s! :D

Welcome to NT!

You don't have to worry about being judged here. We strive to be a community of equals where everyone's feelings and opinions are respected and considered with care.

We're here for each other on the good days, the bad days and the downright loopy ones. It's a sanctuary from a "real world" that can treat us harshly and without understanding.

Cheers:hug:
