Medical Advisors

Hello everyone! I hope you all were able to share the holidays with loved ones.We are lucky if we have the support and love of our friends and families.I talked to my vocational rehab counsellor this am.I told her how job search is going after being cut off of a presription for pain.I also asked if my doctor was releasing me for care. She said no,but we are going by what our medical advisors say.I asked if I have ever been examined by thier medical advisor, her reply was no.So these medical advisors never met me or examined me are just reading notes!or are they actually ready reports? No one is on the same page! how convienient for them.Anyway,Happy new year!!

Unbelievable. Reminds me of my phone interview when I had to spell aneurysm for the lady asking the quetions. I knew I was doomed.

Thanks Julie for ALL your support! It's so sad this system which is inplace to help injured worker's is really just about protecting the employer.Once you are on the system, you find out that wc just wants you to accept your injuries and put a bandaid on you and send you out the door.I have found ALL responsibility is left to you and your family. When I asked who would be responsible for further injuries, voc rehab said you go to your doctor! So the same doctor not reccomending that I work,is suppose to pick up the pieces, after I am forced back to work by wc.

Checking in!!

Hello to all!! Hi; Siccy; The battle still goes for now. My Doctor is still not releasing me to work. Soon to be cut off benefits, from what I am led to believe. Still waiting for written confirmation. Be careful dealing with worker's comp. get everything in writing. Make sure you always have a witness there with you at meetings, preferrably not a relative. You must make notes during the meeting get signatures of whom ever you had the meeting with at the bottom of the page. Always write down your questions. If you have issues write a letter to case management and ask for these issues to be addressed through a written letter. Also make notes from phone calls, date, time, with whom you spoke with etc. Always keep in mind words are words and promises don't mean a thing unless it is documented and signed.
It is freezing here!!-27 or 20 below!! It is not helping with my pain. Lots of snow!!Eastern Canada can be so cold!!My hands are iceblocks!!
Seriously take care, Hello to All!!:grouphug:

I totally agree to get everything in writing. It's the smart thing to do!!!

Hi

I have learned to take a tape recorder to any appointment and to tape it. I have used it at Q.M.E.'s with the Dr.'s being aware that I have it, and they have still lied about their time involved and the tests they have performed even with me describing what/the test they are doing!! It's insane!! I guess they think I won't give the tapes to the Insurance Company that they are working for. :Dunno:

Gromlily

Minus 27 degrees ??

How can even an uninjured person function

I'm sorry those problems persists. They are toying with you. You have contact with them, but nothing ever gets resolved.

That's good to know Grom. Not that I feel good they lied like that, but now I don't feel so alone. They'd say they spent an hour with me, but spent 1o minutes. Or said they did a test they didn't do. Said I refused to let them do reflexes...well when he went to grab my arm (from behind) and I didn't see him coming I jumped away, natural reflex when in pain, and he said I refused to let him check my reflexes. Grrrrrrrrrr

God'll get him.

Hope
