Newbie to NeuroTalk

Hi - this is my first visit to Neurotalk. I'm looking for help with Peripheral Neuropathy that developed from chemo. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Sept. 2011. Had complete hysterectomy and all the other things that go with it along with an ostomy. So I've been dealing this those things, but now that I can think a little clearer, I know I need to find help with the PN in my feet that developed after 6 rounds of chemo.

That's my story and I am glad I found this site and will be searching for anything to make my toes and feet heal from this side effect. :o

a couple ideas

Have you tried massage therapy or better yet, acupuncture (or acupressure). I used to be a massage therapist and shiatsu practitioner. These modes of therapy, particularly acupuncture and acupressure work on the nervous system and help with many ailments. Using acupressure, I was even able to provide pain relief to clients with severe fibromyalgia who could not tolerate massage. After treatment, some of them were even able to get a mild massage.
If you are able to afford it, I highly recommend it. And out of the 3 choices, I would recommend acupuncture first. It's the most effective for relaxing the nerve pathways. If I could afford it, I would go once a week.
Hope this helps.
Seren
