Prescription-denied-no more lyrica?

I was shocked that the lyrica precription wasn't covered. This really is crazy!!When I was at their pain clinic this summer their own doctor presribed this medication for me and I have been taking it since July.I wasn't crazy about the weight gain but it did help with the burning pain and sleep. So today is Sat.I haven't slept much and I can see the difference in how I feel.I am presently going through job search ,What are they thinking!!Taking away a drug that helps control pain??I think I am starting to have some side-effects!!cramps,headache,just so tired!!I am getting so sick @ tired trying to control pain@ move ahead!!My mind is willing but my body tells the tale!!

Please check your PMs.......

Hi Hairdresser, I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through- how miserable

I'm sending you a Private Message with something that may help in the short term, so please check there right away.

Meanwhile, hang in there! I know it's so hard!

Gentle hugs,
Nolina

Who is overseeing your ongoing treatment & meds?
a case manager or a Dr?
call your doctor too - and report how the pain is increasing.
They let you run out of meds suddenly?
what about any withdrawals?

It could be some sort of test to see if you really need the meds or not- I'd call the VOC person and report how you are feeling also.

Just trying to think things that might help.

Did you call the doctor who prescribes the Lyrica to tell him/her about the pharmacy problem??

When I had an insurance issue at the pharmacy, I called my doctor and she had me come to the office that day to pick up a 30 days supply of samples... and then she had the insurance person for the office deal with my insurance company and the next month the med was covered with no problems.

I hope that you can get this problem sorted out soon.

Take care,
Liz
