sternoclavicular injections

Have any of you had any success with sternoclavicular injections? Just asking because I had one today and can tell no difference.

Was it supposed to be a treatment, for pain relief, or just a "try it to see if it helps kind of thing"? {in case pain was from that joint?}

I haven't heard that one mentioned by anyone here.

Well, honestly I don't know what his reasoning was other than he was pushing around on my collarbone to see if it hurt. When I said yes he said that he wanted to try injecting steroids and lidocaine in it to see if it helps. He didn't actually inject it into the joint, just into the general area....and so far it hasn't helped a bit. If anything else, I'm hurting a lot worse although that's probably from him moving my arms in positions that cause symptoms.
