Dry needling scalenes?

has anyone had dry needling done on the scalenes to release the trigger points?

Is this even possible , or is it to sensitive of an area to attempt that kinda therapy?

A professional can do it, I'm pretty sure.

I believe the problem is that the scalenes sit under the sternocleidomastoid. You have go through the SCM. I believe ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance is required for accuracy. Otherwise, you are just dry needling the SCM or risking going through the scalene to far. Dry needling would require the same setup as a scalene block so you might as well do the block.

Just my non-medical opinion.

so i just read that people with ehlers danlos typicalyl respond REALLY well to dry needling, so much that it's addicting (where in actuality you need to try to strengthen to keep the trigger points away)

i dont get nasty trigger points unless i stretch my spine (i'm finally learning this!! lol) so im thinking i need to try to increase blood flow to my tspine which is grid locked and protecting the nerves around there. even when i strengthen incorrectly it doesnt produce these kind of festering knots.
