Prayers would be greatly appreciated
 

My husbands manager, Dave, collapsed at work about a week and a half ago. There were 2 people in his office at the time and they started CPR while waiting for paramedics.

We have been recieving udates daily through my husbands acting manager. Things seemed to be improving but, sadly tonight the update was not encouraging.

The neurologist has said Dave is in a vegatative state. His low functions, breathing and heart are working fine. His cognitive functions are not. The Cat Scans do not show any blood clots, stroke or heart attack.

Dave was a co-worker of my husbands and then my husbands manager. They have worked together for 25 years. Dave has a wife and a son in college.

You got it. I hope he comes out of it soon. Maybe his body is just taking a break to let him heal.

How awful Snoops! Keep us posted, but sending prayers to him and his family.

How tragic....I will definitely add him and his family to my prayers.

I went to click the "praying about this" button, but there wasn't one. I'll add Dave to my prayer list, and his family.

Update on Dave
 

Dave is still in ICU. If they can keep him off the ventilater he will be moved out of ICU and eventually to Hospice.

It is now about keeping him comfortable and away from any expectation of recovery. There is a no-resusitation in place. Dave is being allowed to go when he and his body are ready.

This is so very sad.

Thank your for your concern and prayers. I am sure if he and his family knew they would be deeply touched.

Geez, LA, I'm so sorry to read this update, it has to be so hard on all of you. Dave and his family are in my prayers, along with you and yours.:hug:
