Sunset - painting
 

Sorry for the flash bounce on the picture of the painting. Basically my attempt at a sunset painting. Hope you enjoy it. :)

how long have you been painting?
are you going to do more & show them?
I can't tell for sure, it is oils or acrylics?

It's acrylics. I just started taking up painting again after a long, long time. I have found it a great stress relief.

Seems to run in family. My great grandmother was great with landscapes, my mom was great with portraits, and now I'm the abstract person - lol.

I'm debating on making more and showing them. I have an idea in mind to paint the four seasons, and a couple of others running around in this brain of mine - LOL

The one here is for my boss. I'm leaving work here soon, and she's been such a neat lady - I wanted to make something for her.

Hi Fin - That is beautiful. I love the colors and the simplicity. It is great to look at and imagine you are watching the sun set. Good job! Your boss will love it and I think that is so sweet that you are doing this for your boss.

if you want to make more paintings - and looking for ideas ... try painting on tiles (they are really inexpensive at Menard's .. especially in their discontinued section) ... or even small blocks of wood ... I need to get back into my painting too!
