my son now is 7 years old , when he was 4 monthes he sufferd from heamofilis influenza and meningities, we cared about him alot and thank god he cured and now he is totaly fine ,except that these days he always tells me that he suffers from headache ,specially when he talks,i am very afraid that may be what he had before may left for him anything wrong in his head ..N.B. the last MRI we did for him showed that some cells in his brain are infilterd ,these cells as they told me are responsible for the mood , behavior and memory...please if anyone can tell me something about this thing please help..

Is he better now? It is conceivable that the influenza may have triggered neurological autoimmunity, and it might be useful if his doctor ordered a battery of antibodies. Unfortunately, most doctors, even some neuroimmunologists, do not know how to test, diagnose or treat some uncommon autoimmune neurological disorders. The best place to start would be the Mayo Clinic neuroimmunology (or neurology) department, they are on the cutting edge of research and treatment, far ahead than any other place I visited (and I have visited over 30 doctors in various places before going to Mayo).

I was misdiagnosed for a year in Wisconsin, and eventually requested authorization from my insurance to visit Mayo, which they approved. The visit to their neuroimmunologist was really worth it. Their radiologists also used special software to analyze my previous brain MRI and PET studies, and caught important things that had been missed before.
