Brain Anyeurism

I had a brain anyeurism rupture on May 28th. I actually died for about 7 minutes and was brought back. Woke up two days later in Emory ICU unit after a coil was put in. I feel really lucky because I am home now and have no side effects or long term dissabilities. I have been home for about 2 weeks now after being in the ICU unit for 3 weeks. I am still feeling heavy headed sometimes and I also still get headaches every now and then. I want to start weight lifting but am scared because tht is where and how my anyeurism ruptured. Any thoughts or ideas about what to do and what to look out for?

Wow

Wow that is an amazing story. Thank God that you are alive. I go in for my appointment to see what to do about my Aneurysm on Aug 1st. I'm scared but your story is amazing. As far as lifting weights...I'd talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she says. Or start out small and see what your limits are. If you start getting a headache or anything funny feeling then I'd stop and see how it goes. If it doesn't stop then I'd call your doctor. But that's about all I can give you...seeing as how I haven't gone through surgery or anything yet. I hope this helps and you can msg me on here or anything. I'll pray for you though. Good Luck. :)

I definately feel lucky. It could have went a totally different way. I never knew I had any problems. How did you find out you had an anyeurism? I beleive that the Doctors now adays are alot more skilled and more educated about the problem than in the past. You shouldn't have a problem with your surgery. I wish you the best. Mine ruptured at the gym and I woke up 2 days later and the surgery was done befoore I even knew anything. To be honest, after 2 weeks in the ICU with delotted(15 times stronger than morpheine) shots everyhour for pain, I asked the doctor to kill me because my head still hurt so bad. But, you probably won't feel all that pain because you will not have all that blood in your head like I did. Once again, I wish you the best. I just got back from the gym did 45 min. of cardio and 1 set of every bodypart super light. I can't help trying to train already. I love it. I have been certified as a personal trainer since 1993. If you don't work out, you should start. That is what I truly believed saved my life.

Well

I can't actually work out. I have other problems with me as well. I've got 2 herniated disks, fibromyalgia, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and a panic attack disorder. So it's harder for me to do any type of exercising. So I've been taking walks after dinner to be able to do something. I've been having horrible migraines ever since 2008. I had an MRI in 2008 and the doctors believed they found something so I was sent to see a neurologist but the neurologist told me that my doctors were just stupid and that all it was is a blood vessel that is normal. So that was written off. Once they found out that I have Fibromyalgia, they stopped looking for problems with my migraines because they just wrote them off as being caused by the Fibromyalgia. I just had an MRA done and that is how they found the Aneurysm. I had a CT done with contrast 10 June and now am waiting for my appointment with the neurosurgeon Aug 1. It's been a long wait and a stressful one but I'm staying positive. The headaches are getting worse and I'm watching for any signs of a rupture just in case. But taking walks in fresh air seems to help only a little. Hopefully something can be done about this so that maybe I can live a little easier. Thank you for understanding and I'm glad that your doing better.
