"I got da rheuma, fibro, thyroid blues" + PCS & MTBI

Hello all, I have longstanding RA that was dx in nov 04 w a small cluster of other autoimmune diseases that mostly surfaced abruptly 10 years ago including; hasimotos, fibromialgia as well as degenerative disk disease w all the associated spondylopathies (mostly under control now after a recent spinal fusion), mononeuritis multiplex (started at 7:00 pm sept ,2004 with left foot twitch and progressed to right hand tremor and other weird twitches in a few weeks???), raynauds phenomenon, migraine, IBS (gastro docs suspect inflammatory gut from RA), PN in feet, carpel tunnel, tendonnitis, bursitis and severe tenosynovitis in hands, wrist, well all appendages and hips when RA flares bad, probable rheumatoid vasculitis, asthma w rheumatoid lung, some heart stuff from the RA, GERD, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and osteopenia, some depression and I am sure I must have forgotten something else as my brain not working on 8 cylinders as I had two trips to ER for slipping on ice in last 6 weeks, both w MTBI.

My mom had the RA genes, my brother has mild RA, but luckily my dad had great genes and was an athlete and PHd, so I feel I am lucky to have dads genes to help offset my moms. I was very athletic all my life, even now when I can, and think my active physical life has probably helped me get thru my autoimmune * all more than any thing else ( and a sense of humor, got that from dad as well).

On a boatload of meds, Orencia and celebrex for RA, synthroid and cytimil for thyroid, cybalta for fibro and depression, advair and albuterol, and pain meds as needed.

Here to get some help w my head injury problems, GP doc who is Internist and very bright says I now have .multiple concussion syndrome from having two head injuries. Current symptoms are constant headache, light/sound sensitivity, tinitis, sleep problems and unable to do anything without having my head pound and throb.

I looked thru the list of health topics on Neurotalk and laughed that this site covers most of my conditions, I feel at home already, lol. Look forward to.getting some help and tips here and maybe sharing some of what has helped me w others. Thx for reading all this.
