Working While Receiving SSDI

Is anyone receiving SSDI and working part time? I've been helping a relative for a few days per month getting paid cash. He would like to add me on payroll so that I would be covered under workman's comp should anything happen to me while I am working. I'm afraid that by doing this, it may affect my case when I am up for review in a few years.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is the work at a business that is covered by work comp?

Our SSDI forum has many posts about how much can be earned per month without affecting SSDI payments.
But it will be on record then, it would need to be reported.
It may raise the question @ SSDI eventually - "if you can consistently work part time, why not full time"?
Especially if it is regular & ongoing and just under the monthly allowed amount .

It is. I would be making a lot less than what is allowed since it is only a few hours per month. You are right on the question it would raise with SS and that is my concern. I will call tomorrow to find out more information.

Thank you so much for your response
